This blog is just one of the many things being neglected right now as our chubby baby takes over our lives.  Jason returned to work two and a half weeks ago so Max and I have been on our own.  Up until last week Max would only sleep in my arms during the day, making it difficult to get anything done.  Fortunately last week he started enjoying his big swing, allowing Mommy to nap too.  Unfortunately, last week Max started becoming fussy in the evenings, making our nights a little hectic.  Some nights Max just needs cuddles until he's ready for bed but there have been several evenings when he cries and cries and cries with Mommy and Daddy trying everything they can think of to console him.  Those are tough nights but Jason is a big help and we get through them.  We knew this fussy period was coming and we know we just have to get through it until he settles down.  To add extra excitement to my life Max has hit his 6 week growth spurt so he's waking up every hour or two to nurse so I'm exhausted.  Thank goodness he's such a cute little lovebug!

Max is one month old today!  I can't believe 4 weeks have passed.  Today was Jason's last day of baby leave.  He's back to work on Monday and then it'll just be me and the little monkey M-F for the next two months.  I wish Jason was staying home with mentor the next two months, we've really been enjoying the time together and with Max.

Grandma Deb and Grandpa George came over about a week ago and made us delicious mole for dinner and cuddled Max.

Max and I are out for a walk while it's still cool outside.  But Max is asleep.Max was enjoying some naked time this morning. And he and Daddy had some snuggle time in the glider while I ran out for donuts and coffee.Max celebrated three weeks of life yesterday.  We are truly blessed by this tiny eating and pooping bundle of joy!

Max update

Things in the Rosenberger household are going well.  Max is eating, sleeping and pooping well.  Jason and I are getting some sleep, but not tons.  With Max wanting to eat every 2-2.5 hours I'm not getting much consecutive sleep time and Jason is up for the early morning feedings to change Max before and sometimes after he eats.  He has a healthy gastrointestinal system!

We go to bed around 10 or 11pm, wake up a few times for feedings and then finally get up for the day between 9-10am.  We've all been sticking close to home, with Jason or I running out for groceries or other supplies.  I'm really enjoying having Jason home for the first month of my maternity leave.  Here are some Max pics.

Today we did head out to the Corvallis Wednesday Farmers Market with Max.  It was his first outing, besides visits to the doctor's office.  He slept through all of it but Jason and I enjoyed getting out and I bought my first tomatoes of the season and had caprese salad for dinner.  Delicious!!!
